Hi All
Just under two weeks to go to the start of the season – so just a short note to give you all a quick update!
- Division 1 – sadly David Lloyd have withdrawn their team from Division 1 and there’s limited capacity/appetite for a nomad team – so there will be 9 teams in the division for the upcoming season. The website is yet to be updated to reflect this but the fixtures will not change and there will now be no fixture on those weeks that teams were due to play David Lloyd
- Division 2 – there are no changes, it is as you were for Division 2
- Division 3 – there have been no changes to teams – however please note that the Collingham 4 and Ilkley 1 teams will play their home matches on a Monday evenings as opposed to Tuesdays. This is now reflected in the fixtures on the website, can you please make sure all relevant teams are aware
- Division 4 – sadly TASC have withdrawn their team due to injury issues and so Division 4 has just 8 teams for the season ahead – the division 4 fixtures have been updated with the season starting slightly later than the other divisions as a result. Let’s try and build this back up to 10 teams for next season!
Just as a quick reminder to all teams, we have two clubs – Adel and Aireborough – that start their matches at 7.15pm as opposed to 7.30pm. This has been the case for some time, however, could all visiting clubs please make their teams aware that matches must start at 7.15pm prompt – the reason for the earlier start is that there is a lack of flexibility around finishing/closing times at each venue which may affect the end of games.
One other significant update to note – but, following some serious campaigning on the part of James Butterworth at Chapel A, the scoring for Division 1 will be moving to PAR for the upcoming season. Note this is for Division 1 only and we’ll be looking for feedback from all Division 1 team captains during and at the end of the season following which the committee will review its success / appropriateness, in particular in relation to game duration.
If you can all make sure that your nominated players are all inputted into the system correctly by COP Saturday 16th September – there need to be three nominated players in each of your teams with the exception of your lowest ranking team which should contain a list of all other players that may potentially play throughout the season, regardless of which ultimate team that will be. For a reminder of the league’s nominated player rules, please see the relevant news item on the website (http://harrogate.countyleagues.co.uk/) or take a look at the league rules which are attached for information.
Finally, we will start to drive emails through the Leaguemaster system itself when we get going – I believe it will be sending the team captains game reminders a day or so before each game in addition to prompting captains reminders for result inputting. If you can keep taking a look at the spam folders on your email set up to make sure that you are able to pick these up when we get going, that would be great.
Any questions let me know – otherwise I’ll be in touch with a final update before we kick off!
Cheers
Tony
