Harrogate 1 fell to their first defeat of the season in Division One, leaving just two sides with 100% records after six weeks of the mighty Harrogate League.
With a weakened side (shorn of unbeaten duo Jackson Beresford and Simon Myring), Harrogate went down 2-1 to fourth-placed Collingham 1 and are now clinging on to top spot on points difference alone.
Chapel Allerton 1 drew up alongside them on 57 points after wins for Adam Wellstead and captain Ross Williamson gave them a 2-1 win over lowly Adel 1.
Chapel Allerton 2 are lurking like a tiger in the reeds in third place, ready to pounce on a moment's hesitation by the top two. Wins for snooker-loopy Paul Allen and John Riley overturned an early defeat for No.3 string Thomas Whiteway in their 2-1 win at Harlow.
In Division Two, Harrogate 2 still lead the way, winning their fourth match in a row, although it was close at Adel 2, with Steve Whiteley's 3/2 win at second string over Raj Achuthan proving crucial.
Twelve points in their back pockets made the long, dark, empty-bellied return journey from Skipton a gleeful one for second-placed Collingham 2; Nick Williams, Dan Adams and James Rollinson all triumphant.
Chapel Allerton 5 - who led the table three weeks ago before losing two in a row - got their act together by beating Otley 2 and moving back up to third. Tim Manuel's classy dismantling of talented Hayden Stewart at No.1 string had Linesy purring up on the balcony.
Fifth-placed Dunnington are well in the mix after Darren Mould and Jermaine Manners beat Chapel Allerton 4's Jon Round and Bobby Pearson respectively.
In Division Three, Adel 3 have won six out of six, although second-placed Chapel Allerton 7 ran them very close this week, with Kevin Jackson's win over Matt Urquhart pivotal.
Third-placed Ilkley 1 went down 2-1 at Harrogate 3, not exactly helped by a no-show at No.3 string which put them 1-0 down before a ball had been struck. At the other end, there was a belated first win of the season for Chapel Allerton 8, 2-1 at home to fellow cellar-dwellers Harlow 2.
In Division Four, Collingham 5 are the second and last team still to boast a perfect record, which they maintained with a 2-1 home win over Otley 4; youngster Maximus Cooke and No.3 Steve Osborne their victors.
Ilkley 3 are on the leaders' coat tails, just a point behind, afer a 2-1 home win over Chapel Allerton 9, while third-placed Adel 5 squeezed past Aireborough 2 after a nail-biting five-game decider between Ben Johnson and the eventually triumphant Fred Harrison.
